ACG Silicon Valley hosted its 11th Annual Grow! Awards this past Wednesday with a gala presented by the Association for Corporate Growth in the Silicon Valley. The event included more than 130 CEOs and 170 businesses, with appearances by San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, live music, and a keynote speech by DocuSign CEO Keith Krach. It took place at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.
Every year the ACGSV event honors two of the fastest-growing companies in the area. This year the honorees were GoPro Inc. (Outstanding Growth Company) and LendingClub Corp (Outstanding Emerging Growth Company).
Keynote speaker Krach spoke in a fireside chat with NASDAQ Vice Chairman Bruce Aust and mentioned that the biggest challenge facing Silicon Valley today is finding workers with the right technical skills. “I think Silicon Valley can be more vocal and action-oriented in producing more engineers and STEM education,” he said.
Sponsors included Bank of America’s US Trust and ACG Silicon Valley.
