J.K. Rowling has shared a 1,500-word glimpse into the Harry Potter world as an adult. At almost 34-years-old, Harry Potter is starting to get threads of silver in his hair and still wears the same round glasses.
The seven-book Harry Potter series, has sold more than 400 million copies worldwide. This story even crashed Pottermore last night, with so many fans eager to read it.
The story is written by Rita Skeeter in The Daily Prophet’s gossip column. Former Dumbledore’s Army members attend a Quidditch game, and Skeeter focuses on their reunion.
Skeeter writes: “One always hesitates to invade the privacy of young people, but the fact is that anyone closely connected with Harry Potter reaps the benefits and must pay the penalty of public interest.”
Skeeter goes on to say that Ron Weasley, has aged less well with his ginger hair “thinning slightly.” Hermione, Ginny, and all their children are featured in the story as well.
A mysterious cut is described on Harry’s cheekbone, which is most likely a result from one of his missions as a Aurors.
Since the Harry Potter series, Rowling has published a novel for adults, “The Casual Vacancy,” and two detective thrillers under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith.
The short Harry Potter sequel can be read on the Pottermore website, and requires a free account to read.
