Orange is the New Black is a Netflix original show. Laura Prepon (That 70’s Show) and Jason Biggs (American Pie) are the big names on the show, while most of the others are new or fairly unknown.

The show is based off of a book written by Piper Kerman, about her year in a women’s prison. The show starts when Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) goes to prison 10 years after transporting money for her then drug dealing girlfriend (Laura Prepon).

The show was a huge success. The drama, sexual tension, and characters drew a lot of people in. While Laura Prepon was not the main character, she quickly became a fan favorite. Buzzfeed just reported that she is only scheduled to return for one episode of Season 2.

Prepon plays Piper’s ex-girlfriend, Alex Vause. It was first reported that she would not be returning at all, but Netflix denited the report, saying it was “not accurate” and Season 2 “is still developing and nothing is confirmed.”

Most of the cast mates were unsure about her plans for the show as well. “Well, you know, I don’t really know anything about that, I just know that she’s an amazing actress and I’ve really had an incredible time working with her and I know that there’s no end to that relationship,” Schilling told E! Online.

BuzzFeed reported that Prepon may film more episodes, but as of now its likely only one episode. The new season is currently in production.
