It’s no secret New York City has a poverty problem. The Robin Hood Foundation’s mission is to fix that problem, and it has done a great job so far.
On Monday, May 13th, the Robin Hood Foundation hosted a gala to raise money. 100 percent of the proceeds went to charity. Board members pay for the cost of the party and operating expenses.
The evening started off with Paul Tudor Jones of Tudor Investment Corp. offering $10,00 dollars for Brian William’s tie.
“You’re trying to remember who’s here,” Jerry Seinfeld said, “so you can tell people tomorrow and make people feel bad.”
Many big names in entertainment, business and more filled the tables. At one you could find Jim Simon, Kenneth Langone, Eli Manning. The table also included co-chairmen Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel alongside Marie-Josee and Henry Kravis.
“Everyone here has been amazing. You showed your love for this great city. Now it’s time to party,” Timberlake said, introducing the finale: Bono, Elton John, Sting, and Mary J. Blige.
